About Zapwa
We are building the WhatsApp Business platform that every Indian SMB deserves — powerful, compliant, and affordable.
Our Story
Zapwa was born from a simple observation: India has over 500 million active WhatsApp users, and the overwhelming majority of businesses that want to communicate with those users are doing it the wrong way — through personal numbers, unofficial bulk-send tools, and practices that violate Meta's Terms of Service and put their accounts at constant risk of permanent bans.
In 2024, Etechinfo Consultant Pvt. Ltd. — a technology consultancy headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh — decided to build the solution it could not find elsewhere. Under the leadership of founder and director Akhilesh Kumar, the Zapwa platform was designed from the ground up to give Indian SMBs access to the official WhatsApp Business API without the complexity, cost, or compliance risk that has historically kept smaller businesses away.
We built Zapwa because we believe that official WhatsApp Business API access should not be a privilege reserved for large enterprises. A boutique textile merchant in Surat, a sweet shop chain in Ahmedabad, a real estate agency in Delhi — all of them deserve the same professional, compliant, scalable messaging infrastructure that their larger competitors use.
Zapwa is a multi-tenant SaaS platform that integrates directly with Meta's Cloud API and Marketing Messages Lite API. There are no unofficial workarounds, no risk of WhatsApp Business Account bans, and no grey-area tools. Everything we do is official, auditable, and built to last.

Our Mission
To make the official WhatsApp Business API accessible, affordable, and compliant for every Indian SMB — so that businesses of all sizes can communicate with their customers professionally and at scale, without fear of account bans or data breaches.
Why WhatsApp matters in India
WhatsApp users in India — the world's single largest national user base for the platform
Average message open rate on WhatsApp, compared to roughly 20% for marketing emails
Indian SMBs that name WhatsApp as their primary customer communication channel
India has the largest WhatsApp user base in the world. WhatsApp is not just a messaging app in India — it is the de facto channel for business communication, customer service, order confirmations, appointment reminders, promotional offers, payment links, and everything in between.
Yet the vast majority of Indian SMBs still communicate through personal WhatsApp accounts or the free WhatsApp Business App, both of which violate Meta's Terms of Service for bulk commercial messaging. The personal account approach puts accounts at constant risk of permanent bans. The Business App offers no API access, no team inbox, no CRM integration, and no ability to scale beyond a few hundred messages per day.
The official WhatsApp Business API — accessed through Meta-approved solution providers like Zapwa — is the only compliant, scalable, and future-proof way for businesses to send bulk messages, automate responses, and manage customer conversations at the level that modern Indian commerce demands. That is exactly what Zapwa delivers.
Our Approach
Zapwa is not a reseller of API credits. We are a product company that has built enterprise-grade infrastructure and designed a platform specifically for the Indian SMB market.
Direct Cloud API Integration
Zapwa integrates directly with Meta's Cloud API — the most modern, reliable, and feature-rich way to access WhatsApp Business. There are no unofficial workarounds and no third-party intermediaries standing between your messages and Meta's infrastructure.
Multi-Tenant Architecture
Each business on Zapwa gets a fully isolated workspace. Your contacts, messages, templates, and WhatsApp credentials are separated from every other business on the platform — at the database level, not just at the application layer.
Compliance-First Design
We build compliance in, not on top. Tenant isolation, data minimisation, retention limits, and opt-in enforcement are architectural constraints, not toggleable features. They shape every decision we make when writing code.
Transparent Pricing
We pass through Meta's WhatsApp conversation charges at cost, with clear platform subscription fees on top. No hidden markups, no surprise invoices, no opaque per-message surcharges. What you see in our pricing page is what you pay.
Our Values
These are not taglines for a website. They are the principles that guide every product decision, every support interaction, and every line of code we write.
Customer First
Every decision we make starts with a single question: does this make our customers more successful? We build features that solve real problems for real Indian businesses — not to pad a feature list.
Privacy by Design
Compliance with the DPDP Act 2023, IT Rules 2011, and GDPR is not an afterthought at Zapwa. It is built into our architecture from day one — tenant isolation, data minimisation, and retention limits are automatic and non-negotiable.
Indian-Built for Indian Businesses
We understand the nuances of Indian business communication — regional campaigns, seasonal offers, Diwali promotions, and GST-compliant invoicing. Zapwa speaks the language of the Indian SMB, from a team that lives and works in India.
No Spam. Ever.
We enforce strict opt-in requirements on every account. Every message sent through Zapwa must be received by someone who explicitly consented to receive it. We actively monitor and suspend accounts that violate this principle.
